I think now, more than ever, you probably appreciate the value of coaching to sell a true solution to people's needs. It enables you to stop operating to the lowest common denominator amongst your competition.
I think you fully understand that clients don’t want to buy a fitness program or even some recipe ideas or even access to a closed Facebook group. They want a true solution to their problems.
And coaching offers such a solution.
Once we coach well, then for sure programs and nutrition guides and closed Facebook groups have their role too.
The only problem as I see it is that people don’t always coach as well as they could. They get lost in their thinking when listening to clients, are often uncomfortable with silence and speak way too much, can’t help themselves offer advice and tend to want to solve their clients’ problems for them.
They don’t really know how to best create guided self-help resources or integrate such resources into their work with clients, and they are not always particularly good at behavioural coaching including goal setting and client management either.
Now, I don't know about you, but not just being OK at these aspects of coaching but excelling in them could be really exciting and beneficial.
Don’t leave clients wanting. Give them the very best opportunity you can for them to take back control of their weight, health and fitness and help them literally transform their lives through fitness with your help.
